Department of Civil Aviation bans Samsung Galaxy Note 7 on flights

The Department of Civil Aviation has banned the use of the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 on all flights, amid a risk of the devices exploding.

It says passengers can bring the devices onboard, but are not allowed to use them or charge them.

The move follows similar on-flight bans by Malaysia Airlines and Air Asia.
