Father and daughter killed by go-kart

A father and daughter who were killed by a go-kart at the Education Innovation Motorsports and Automotive Race in Kuantan, Pahang yesterday have been laid to rest.

UTM, which organised the event, says it had taken all necessary safety precautions at the event, including water barriers, safety tape partitions and security personnel.

3 of the go-karts in the race had gotten into contact, causing one of them to skid and crash into the spectator area.

The father died on the spot, his 4-year-old daughter died in hospital, while the wife and son were injured.
