Sep 30, 2016
Syabas has suspended an employee on suspicion of sabotage which led to the disruption of water supply to consumers in Klang and Petaling on 1st September.
The employee was suspended on 6th September while a police report was lodged shortly after, and a report handed over to the National Water Services Commission.
The water disruption affected 340,000 accounts in Klang and Petaling for a day.
Meanwhile, the government says the source of the water pollution at the Semenyih Water Treatment Plant will be known in a week's time.
The odour pollution caused multiple water supply disruptions affecting several areas in Petaling, Hulu Langat and Sepang earlier this week.
