No reports of WannaCry ransomware in Malaysia

May 15, 2017

The MCMC has yet to receive any reports of WannaCry ransomware attacks in the country.

This, as the Malaysian Association of Hotels told The Star, that it, too has not received reports about the ransomware infecting several hotels in KL, despite such claims on social media.

So far, over a hundred countries have been hit by the malware outbreak, which encrypts data on an infected computer, preventing users from accessing it.
