Unwashed eggs for making roti jala caused food poisoning at Tapah school
Apr 12, 2016
Unwashed eggs for making roti jala caused the food poisoning at a school in Tapah last week.
It was originally thought the accompanying chicken curry had caused the incident, but investigations showed the roti jala carried 3 types of bacteria, including salmonella and e.coli.
The Perak Health Department says officers found dirty egg containers at the roti jala maker's home, which were reused to place new eggs bought.
The roti jala maker's house also only reached 48% cleanliness levels, and has been sealed for 2 weeks.
