EIS Contribution Rate Reduced

The contribution rate for the Employment Insurance System will be reduced from 0.5 percent to 0.2 percent when it's tabled in the Dewan Rakyat this month.
The amount will be contributed equally by both employers and employees.
The Human Resources Ministry claims this is the lowest rate of contribution in the world.
The Employment Insurance System is a social safety net that helps workers who lose their income after loss of employment.
