MCMC unblocks game platform, after controversial game is disabled.

Sep 09, 2017

A popular gaming platform has finally complied with the MCMC's request to prevent the Fight of Gods game from being downloaded by Malaysian users.

In a statement posted on the commission's Facebook page, it says the access restriction on the site, has now been lifted.

Access to the site was blocked yesterday, after the platform failed to meet a 24 hour deadline to disable downloads for Malaysia, due to the sensitive nature of the game's content.

The Communications and Multimedia Ministry had earlier said that the game, which featured religious figures, degraded religions, and posed a threat to racial unity and harmony.
