George Michael Dies

George Michael has died at age 53.

His publicist says the singer "passed away peacefully at home" in Oxfordshire, England but gave no further details.

According to the police, his death was unexplained but not suspicious, and a post-mortem will be conducted in due course.

The singer first made his name with Wham! in the 1980s, before reaching greater heights as a solo artist in the 90s.

He was due to release special documentary about his career next year.
