The Employment Insurance System will kick off next year.

The Employment Insurance System will kick off next year, but the first payment won't be made until January 2019.
The govt says it has already pumped 122 million ringgit into the system, to make sure it takes off.
The EIS will provide financial assistance to retrenched workers, and requires a 0.2 percent contribution each from employer and employee.
