SPAD says authorities like the JPJ and police will take over the vetting of prospective e-hailing drivers.
The Land Public Transport Commission told The Star, this will allow authorities to properly check the background of such drivers, before they are allowed to ferry passengers.
This, after a woman was robbed at knife-point by a ride-hailing driver and his accomplice in Puchong last week.
