There is NO increase in tuition fees for students pursuing 1st-degree programmes at public universities.
The Higher Education Ministry said this in response to fake rumours claiming UM is allowing its Engineering Faculty to directly take in students with tuition fees as high as 90,000 ringgit.
It clarified local public uni students are only required to pay tuition fee about 3,000 ringgit.
