Undergrads will soon be able to take a year off

Undergraduates in local public universities will be able to take a year off from their studies, starting this September.
The Higher Education Ministry says the programme will give undergraduates a chance to gain experience, by carrying out volunteer work in public agencies.
8 universities have agreed to implement the gap year programme this year, but more could sign up in the future.
