PKR politician Tian Chua will remain as Batu MP.

PKR politician Tian Chua will remain as Batu MP, despite his conviction for sedition. 

This, after a court in KL slapped him with a 3 month jail sentence and fined him 1,800 ringgit over remarks he made at a public forum 3 years ago. 

An elected representative is only disqualified from being an MP or state assemblyman if they are sentenced to at least one year in jail or fined more than 2 thousand ringgit.
