Ministry to look into suggestions to improve road safety at schools

The Education Ministry will look into all suggestions made, to improve road safety in front of schools. 

It says this includes proposals to rope in bodies like Rela and traffic police to help manage traffic in front of schools. 

A special committee set up by the Education Minister will look into the proposals, with input from partners including the Ministries of Transport and Housing and Local Govt. 

This follows several fatal accidents involving kids crossing the road in front of their schools, in Terengganu, Perak and Melaka.
