PTPTN borrowers listed on CCRIS do not have to panic

PTPTN borrowers, who have found their names listed on CCRIS, do not have to panic.

According to the Star, PTPTN says those who regularly repay their loans will maintain a clean record.

It clarified, CCRIS is just a database used by financial institutions to evaluate those who apply for loans, and good paymasters will have their loan applications approved. 

PTPTN adds, borrowers can negotiate to restructure their loans, if they are unable to pay according to schedule.

It also revealed that since PTPTN started using CCRIS last year, more defaulters have come forward to negotiate for a more lenienent repayment mode.
