Police identify personnel receiving bribes to allow sneaking into Sabah

Sep 21, 2016

Police have identified its personnel who allegedly received bribes to allow Indonesians to sneak into Sabah via sea routes.

The Tawau district police chief says they are still conducting detailed investigations into a viral 11-minute video, which exposed the lax maritime security in the district.

The clip alleged that Indonesians can easily enter Tawau from water routes, by paying a bribe of between 50 to 100 ringgit to Malaysian enforcement personnel.
