Asean steps up cooperation to combat the Zika outbreak

Asean has agreed to step up cooperation to combat the Zika outbreak, by sharing resources, including the latest data and technical support.
Malaysia's Health Ministry says Asean governments have also agreed to set up a joint committee, that will conduct research and share new knowledge and best practices to contain the spread of the virus.
So far there have been 6 confirmed Zika cases in Malaysia, while there have also been cases in Singapore and Thailand.
