Number of forest fire cases drops

Apr 13, 2016

The number of forest fire cases has dropped nationaide, as the dry season slowly comes to an end.

The Fire and Rescue Dept says this is because rain has begun to fall in those areas.

However, the Met Department and the Department of Environment will continue to monitor the situation together.

Meanwhile, cloud seeding will continue for a second day today in Sabah, Kedah, Perak, and Perlis.

The Kedah state govt will monitor the effectiveness of operations for a week, before deciding on the next move to tackle the hot and dry weather.
