SARA Systems Upgrades Ahead Of Phase 2 Rollout

The govt is upgrading its systems to ensure that the second round of SARA aid goes smoothly.  

The Treasury Dept told The Star it has already upgraded its server capacity to help reduce long queues and system delays, especially at the start of its rollout in February. 

It has also increased the number of participating retailers to over 8,000.

The Works Ministry has reminded motorists to comply with road closures, to avoid potentially fatal accidents.  

This, after two people died in Terengganu, after their car entered a section of a road that was closed off due to a landslide.  

It reportedly skidded and fell down a ravine.

Police have opened an investigation into the alleged death threats sent to a lawyer who is handling the case of three people who were shot and killed by police in Melaka recently.   

Cops claimed that their personnel opened fire after being attacked by the trio.  

However, their families alleged that they were killed execution-style.

Separately, police have nabbed two teens, after a viral video appeared to show them riding their bicycles dangerously in Putra Heights. 

They allegedly failed to stop at a traffic light, and they almost hit a car.
