The Health Ministry is confident it can end AIDS nationwide by 2030.

Minister Datuk Seri Dr. Dzulkefly Ahmad explained that it'll do so through continued efforts in harm reduction programs, education, and cross-sector collaborations.

He adds that Malaysia's harm reduction approach — which includes needle exchange and methadone programs — has proven effective.

In fact, the number of HIV infections has been reduced by half since 2002.

Malaysia recorded over three thousand sexual crimes from 2023 to October this year.

The government adds that over 600 of these cases were reported in school areas.

Authorities assured that steps are being taken to address this issue.

This includes the Education Ministry's establishment of a committee to review and strengthen safety measures in schools.

Genting Malaysia has announced that motorists will soon be charged for using the private road that leads up to Genting Highlands.

The company adds that details of the charge, including the implementation date, will be announced once finalized.

The Chief Secretary to the Government has confirmed that KL Mayor Datuk Seri Dr Maimunah Mohd Sharif is set to end her tenure earlier than expected and will beredeployed to a new position within Petronas.
