Good News For e-Hailing Drivers!

Good news for ehailing drivers!  

The government will increase the BUDI95 quota for full-time drivers soon.  

The move will be announced in the near future and kick into effect this month itself. 

Officials add that the government, including the Transport Ministry, made this decision after meeting with e-hailing companies to review the subsidy.

Speaking of subsidies...the Finance Ministry says the government is looking at ways to prevent misuse of subsidies for basic goods such as rice, sugar and cooking oil. 

Authorities will study ways to rationalize subsidies on such goods in phases.  

This, as part of efforts to ensure any leakages are plugged and that the aid reaches those who truly need them.

The Youth and Sports Ministry says an online gaming platform has agreed to cooperate with the Malaysian government on regulations compliance.  

This, amid rising concerns over child safety on the popular platform.  

Earlier, a six-year-old boy was slashed by his older brother in Johor.  

Police believe that the incident may have occurred after the older brother became upset when the game he was playing was interrupted.
