Unhealthy API In 4 Areas

unhealthy api in 4 areas

As of this morning, 4 areas in the Peninsular reported unhealthy air quality, due to transboundary haze.  

According to the Dept of Environment's website, they are Johan Setia and Banting, Selangor, Nilai, Negeri Sembilan, and Temerloh, Pahang.  

Because of this, the Dept of Environmen has activated its national action plans to combat open burning and haze.  

This includes conducting regular patrols around areas that are prone to cases of open burning. 

It also reminded people to avoid any activities that can contribute to the haze.

This, as the Selangor Fire and Rescue Dept reported a forest fire in Kajang yesterday evening.  

The cause of the blaze has yet to be confirmed.

The Health Ministry's guidelines on workplace bullying for govt clinics and hospitals will also cover verbal bullying.  

Its minister told BH it covers the use of language or words that are considered hurtful, insulting, threatening, mocking, and humiliating.  

It was drafted due to frequent complaints about workplace bullying at several govt healthcare facilities.  

The guidelines are expected to be launched in October.

Speaking of bullying, police in Kedah are investigating an incident, in which a form one student was reportedly tied up, gagged, and left inside a school toilet recently.  

Two 13-year-old students have been detained to help with investigations.
