FRU Crash: Cops Uncover Attempts To Exploit Victims' Families

May 27, 2025

fru crash: cops uncover attempts to exploit victims' families

Police have uncovered attempts by irresponsible parties to exploit the families of the FRU personnel who died in the accident in Teluk Intan, Perak earlier this month.

The Perak police chief did not go into detail but said that they involve financial and legal matters.

It has since set up a special committee to protect the families from such scammers.

9 FRU personnel died, and several others were injured when a lorry collided with their transport vehicle.

The police investigation into the Putra Heights gas pipeline explosion is expected to be released by the end of next month.

The Selangor police chief says cops have already completed their portion of the probe, into possible elements of negligence and mischief.

It is now waiting on findings from the Department of Occupational Safety and Health.

--

The Selangor government is still waiting for a full report from the state education department, over the case of a teacher who publicly scolded a student at a school canteen.

The state MB says any follow-up action will only be taken once the report is submitted.

A video went viral on social media recently, showing the primary school student crying while the teacher was scolding her in front of her friends.
