A senior citizen has been charged in court again, for allegedly slapping a non-Muslim man for eating in public at the weekend.

He has pleaded NOT guilty to a count of voluntarily causing hurt at the magistrates' court in JB.

The 65-year-old was initially charged this morning but was granted a discharge not amounting to an acquittal due to a technicality.

Meanwhile, PM Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has criticised the slapping incident and reminded all Malaysians to practice mutual respect.
