Treasury Official Likely Dead For Several Days

Police have obtained the postmortem report on the civil servant who was found dead at the Finance Ministry complex in Putrajaya yesterday.
According to KL police, the cause of death has been confirmed as strangulation.
The city's police chief adds that the Treasury official had likely died several days before his body was found.
He adds that for now the case is still classified as sudden death, but it could change if investigators uncover new leads.

Bukit Aman has urged the public to beware of a social media ad that uses manipulated images of Seputeh MP Teresa Kok and tech billionaire Elon Musk to promote a suspected investment scam.
The ad features a video that purportedly showed deepfaked versions of the duo discussing the benefits of the scheme, which promises unusually high returns for a small investment.
The Commercial Crimes Investigation Dept also reminded that scammers regularly manipulate images and videos of prominent figures in order to attract new victims.
