Prasarana Boosts Safety At Rail Stations

Prasarana is stepping up efforts to improve the safety aspects at all its rail stations.
This includes deploying more auxiliary policemen and upgrading CCTV cameras.
It also has long-term plans to install platform screen doors at more of its stations.
The company said this, after the recent incident where a visually impaired man was run over by a train at the Titiwangsa station.
Prasarana has also set up a committee to investigate the incident in detail, with the report to be presented to the Transport Ministry and Land Public Transport Agency.

Teenage girls are twice as likely to experience mental health issues compared to their male peers.
The Women, Family and Community Development Ministry says this was seen in the National Health and Morbidity Survey for 2022.
It also assured that it's implementing several initiatives to support women's mental health.
This includes psychosocial support and mental health programmes as well as counselling services.

The MCMC is looking into a claim by social media platform X regarding its user base in Malaysia.
The Communications Ministry says the commission will review its findings and take appropriate action once the survey is completed.
Earlier, the platform had claimed that it should be exempt from the government’s new licensing requirement as it did not have the minimum eight million users in Malaysia.

The Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability Ministry says landslide early warning systems have been installed at 40 locations across the country as of last year.
The systems will be installed in six more locations this year.
