Trump Suggests US "Take Over" Gaza Strip
Feb 05, 2025

Donald Trump has suggested that the US ‘take over’ the Gaza Strip, possibly for the long-term, to help redevelop the war-ravaged territory.
The US president also proposed turning the Palestinian enclave into what he calls the Riviera of the Middle East.
This comes after Trump earlier proposed that Palestinians be re-settled outside of Gaza while the city is rebuilt.
This was immediately rejected by the Palestinians, who insisted that they will not leave their homeland.
Egypt, Jordan and other US allies also warned that forcefully relocating the Palestinians from Gaza could threaten middle eastern stability.
