Free Komuter Rides for Thaipusam

KTMB will provide FREE Komuter services in the Klang Valley on Monday and Tuesday next week in conjunction with Thaipusam.

The Transport Minister also announced that Klang Valley Komuter Services will operate for 24 hours daily over a four-day period from Feb 9th to the 12th.  

Meanwhile RapidKL will offer free shuttle services from the Pasar Seni hub, Gombak LRT, and Kg Baru MRT stations to Batu Caves at 10-minute intervals on the 10th and 11th.

Elsewhere, the Works Ministry says the 50% highway toll discount that was implemented for Chinese New Year will also apply to ALL other major festive periods this year.  

The next applicable holiday is Hari Raya Aidilfitri.

A UKM health expert says the sale of vapes and e-cigarettes should only be allowed for those who want to quit smoking.

She told FMT they were initially designed for those wanting to wean themselves off nicotine, but have since been abused, and are now used by other groups.
