Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan has admitted to smoking in a prohibited area, after he was seen on camera lighting up at an eatery recently.  

The Foreign Minister says he has received a compound for the offence, and issued an apology.

 Earlier, the Health Minister stressed that no one is above the law, and Tok Mat would receive a compound.

Malaysia has no immediate plans to repatriate our citizens from Syria.  

According to Wisma Putra, there are 50 Malaysians in Syria, including students, and they are all safe.  

This, following the recent ouster of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.

Civil Servants are NOT mandated to maintain a balanced body-mass index.  

The Public Service Department denied issuing such a directive, saying it merely ENCOURAGES public servants to conduct self-health screenings to determine their BMI. 

The Department also reaffirmed its commitment to collaborating with the Health Ministry, to tackle the problem of obesity among public officials.

Universiti Malaya has confirmed that it received a report, accusing one of its academicians of sexually harassing students.  

It declined to comment on the matter, saying it’s now being investigated by the authorities.

The two Malaysians who were implicated in the 2002 Bali bombing have returned home, after being held at the US Guantanamo Bay detention centre for nearly 20 years.  

According to the Home Ministry, they were released on humanitarian grounds, and will undergo a reintegration programme here.
