Michelle Yeoh Makes Billboard Hot 100 Debut!

Tan Sri Michelle Yeoh has made her Billboard Hot 100 debut! 

The Oscar-winning actress officially entered the chart at No. 93, with her duet 'The Wizard and I' alongside Cynthia Erivo from the hit musical blockbuster Wicked.  

The groundbreaking achievement makes her only the second Malaysians to ever appear on the chart after Datuk Aishah Ariffin’s Don’t Make Me Fall Alone in 1990. 

She also took to Instagram to thank the movie's composer and joked that she's considered a singer now.

The government is being urged to re-think it's decision to bring back the National Service training program. 

A parliamentary special select committee says the program lacks clear objectives and achievement targets.  

It adds that this is a continuing issue that stems from the very first implementation of the program.  

In fact, the committee says studies have found that the first and second versions of the program did not have long-term positive impacts on the participants.

Vegetables are now more expensive.  

Officials say their prices have increased by 50% up to 80% after floods damaged vegetable farms in five states, resulting in a shortage.  

In addition, neighboring country Thailand was also affected by floods.  

This worsened the situation, since it hindered imports. 

They add that farmers are now waiting for floodwaters to subside before replanting can begin, but this could take a couple of months.
