They Never Paid Their Electricity Bills!

630,000 TNB customers had their electricity supply cut off in the first 9 months of this year for outstanding electricity bills.
Altogether, they owed the electricity provider one billion ringgit in outstanding bills.
According to the Energy Transition and Water Transformation Ministry this is a 35% increase compared to the whole of 2023.
Its deputy minister Akmal Nasrullah Mohd Nasir told the Dewan Rakyat the main reasins include financial problems, irresponsibility, and people leaving things until the last minute.
Selangor had the highest number of outstanding bills, ahead of KL, Perak and Johor.

The mental health of students is always a top priority for the Education Ministry, especially when it comes to victims of bullying.
Its minister Fadhlina Sideh told the Dewan Rakyat, the ministr has already implemented several programmes to identify and help students who experience emotional or psychological problems.
She adds that the move away from an exam-based education system is also aimed at reducing students’ stress levels.

MetMalaysia has issued a danger-level continuous heavy rain warning for Hulu Terengganu, Marang, Dungun and Kemaman, in Terengganu, and Jerantut, Maran, Kuantan, Pekan and Rompin, Pahang.
The warning is in effect until this Friday.

A middle-aged man has been charged at a court in KL for allegedly murdering his mother and keeping her remains in a freezer for three years.
No plea was recorded from the accused, who is facing either the death penalty, or a prison term of between 30 to 40 years plus a minimum of 12 strokes of the cane.
