Ministry To Push Madani Deposit Initiative Under Budget 2025

Sep 30, 2024

ministry to push madani deposit initiative under budget 2025

The government is taking steps to help young working adults own their first home.

The Housing and Local Government Ministry says it will propose the new Madani Deposit initiative under Budget 2025…to help pay a deposit of up to 30 thousand ringgit…for properties worth under half a million ringgit.

If approved…it will be made available to first-time buyers between the ages of 21 and 40.

-

The Higher Education Ministry says up to 1 billion ringgit is needed to resolve internet connection issues at public universities and polytechnics.

This includes upgrading existing facilities and replacing obsolete equipment.

-

Separately, the ministry says there are no registered Malaysian students currently in Lebanon…although its possible that some of our students are there unofficially.

This, amid the uncertain security situation there, due to ongoing Israeli attacks.

-

The MACC will be seeking more information from the National Security Council regarding allegations that certain government officials have been conspiring with vendors to purchase IT systems without the proper oversight.

-

The Transport Ministry will be intensifying its crackdown against heavy vehicle drivers who drive while under the influence of drugs…in the wake of two fatal accidents recently.
