Cabinet To Discuss Welfare Of GISB Victims

The Cabinet will discuss the welfare of the hundreds of children rescued from GISB-linked welfare homes next week.
The Women, Family and Community Development Minister told FMT that they'll look into the short, medium, and long-term plans for the kids, using input from the Education and Health Ministries among others.
It adds that it's important to involve these parties, so they can address the children's needs such as health, identity documentation, and education.
This, after authorities raided over 20 GISB-linked charity homes, rescuing the victims from alleged abuse and exploitation.

The Tourism, Arts, and Culture Ministry is stepping up efforts to address the recent concerns surrounding hotel check-in and check-out times.
As such, it'll hold a meeting with hotel industry operators next week to find a solution that would not burden customers.

Nearly half of Malaysians are seeing improvements in their financial situation.
According to a new financial literacy survey, there’s been a three percent increase compared to last year.
The improvements were driven by cutting costs in several areas such as eating out and leisure activities, with more individuals also focusing on retirement planning.
