The Number Of Elderly Malaysians Is Rising

The number of Malaysians aged 60 and above is rising.
The Statistics Department says 2.6 million people – or 7.7 percent of the population –fall within this age group.
Perak currently leads the way with the highest number of elderly, at almost 15% of the state’s population.
This, as Malaysia is set to become an ageing nation by 2030.
