1 More Dead Due To Heat Stroke

Apr 05, 2024

1 more dead due to heat stroke

The heat situation is getting worse.

NADMA says a three-year-old in Kelantan is the latest victim to die of heat stroke in Malaysia.

This, after a 22-year-old also died from a heat-related illness in February.

The agency adds that the rising trend in such illnesses is concerning, with 37 cases recorded so far.

While some individuals have received treatment and recovered, two cases remain under hospital care, including one heat stroke patient in the ICU.

Police have recorded the UMNO Youth Chief's statement regarding the 2 reports they've received against him.

Dr Akmal Saleh was released from the Kota Kinabalu police headquarters after the twohour session.

Cops add that investigations are underway, and that the reports will be forwarded to the Attorney General's Chambers once completed.

This, amidst Akmal's continued calls to boycott a local convenience store for selling socks involving religious sensitivities despite Athe Yang di-Pertuan Agong's directive not to prolong the controversy.

This year's Hari Raya Op Selamat will begin on April 8th.

The operation, themed 'Safe home, reaching your destination safely', will end on April 13th.
