The Health Ministry is discussing the latest measures against Covid-19…now that the coronavirus is no longer considered a global health emergency.

It says any new developments will be announced soon.

For now, however, the ministry will continue with its existing Covid control measures and SOP’s.

There will be no postponement of lectures or outdoor activities for students of higher learning institutions, despite the current hot weather.

The Higher Education Ministry says outdoor activities can be called off IF conditions worsen, although classes will continue as usual.

In other news…the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission will meet with Facebook and Instagram parent company Meta, to address the issue of scam advertisements on the social media platforms.

79 passengers and crew escaped unharmed, after a ferry caught fire near Pulau Bidong in Terengganu yesterday afternoon.

-

Scores of people attended the first ever Dewan Rakyat and Dewan Negara open day yesterday, which was aimed at giving the public a better understanding about the role, importance and history of Parliament.

And, elsewhere, Britain’s King Charles III and Queen Camilla have been officially crowned, after a tradition-filled Coronation ceremony in London.
