COVID vaccine prices at private facilities not controlled by govt

Jun 01, 2022

covid vaccine prices at private facilities not controlled by govt

The government does not control the price of COVID-19 vaccines administered by private health facilities.

The Health Ministry says the cost of vaccination, including consultancy charges, depends entirely on the respective facility.

This, as parents who plan to get their kids aged 5 to 11 vaccinated must now pay a certain fee, following the end of the PICKids program yesterday.

The President of Pejuang says the party will only focus on ensuring victory for its candidates in the upcoming 15th General Election.

Datuk Seri Mukhriz Mahathir says the party will not get involved in any attempt to topple the government.

He also stressed that Pejuang had nothing to do with recent allegations that Bersatu chief Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin will be reappointed as Prime Minister after already securing the support of 119 MPs.

Malaysia needs an independent climate change committee

Health experts say Malaysia needs to establish an independent committee on climate change, to monitor and report annual carbon dioxide emissions.

They say such findings can keep track of the country’s progress in becoming a carbon-neutral nation by 2050.

They are concerned that even though there are talks of climate change, many are seemingly unbothered by the serious issue.

As such, they hope the government will step up its efforts to educate the public on the effects of climate change.
